The Canadian Food Co-op is built on a simple premise: technology should serve the people who grow the food and the people who eat it, not middleman monopolies. By joining, you agree to uphold these core principles.
1. Farmers First
We guarantee that 100% of the retail price you pay for produce goes directly to the farmer who grew it. We do not charge wholesale markups or hidden listing fees. Farmers pay only a flat platform fee.
2. Fair Wages for Drivers
Logistics are expensive, but exploitation is unacceptable. Our delivery fees go entirely to the drivers, ensuring they earn a predictable, living wage per route rather than competing for algorithmic scraps.
3. Radical Transparency
Every dollar moving through this platform is accounted for. We publish our transaction volumes, platform fees, logistics costs, and active member numbers for complete public scrutiny.
4. Community Ownership
We are not beholden to venture capital seeking an exit. We are a co-operative. Decisions are made for the long-term resilience of the local food system, prioritizing food security over exponential growth.
